An alumnus of St. Thomas’ College and holder of an MBA in Advanced Financial Management from the UK, Capt. Asija combines deep operational expertise with a strong grounding in financial governance. His first-hand sailing experience spans Oil (VLCC, ULCC, MR), Gas (LPG) Tankers, Dry Bulk (Capesize, Handymax, Handysize), Containers, and Cruise vessels; bringing a 360-degree understanding of maritime operations unmatched in today’s shipping landscape.

 

Stepping ashore from Maersk nearly two decades ago, he has since led high-impact teams across continents in senior roles focused on asset management, technical excellence, commercial strategy, and long-term value creation for clients. Known for his humility and people-first leadership philosophy, he is deeply committed to empowering teams, nurturing future leaders, and mentoring the next generation of maritime professionals.
